There was one feature which many WhatsApp users were asking for and there were some leaks and rumors too that WhatsApp is working on it, and that feature was to mute any video before sending to anyone or before adding it to your Status. It was last month when WABetaInfo, a blog which keeps track on the development of WhatsApp, has revealed that company is working on such feature and it is available for those users who are using beta v2.21.3.13 update which basically allows you to mute any video before sending it to your contacts.
The similar feature is already available on Instagram which is another wing of Facebook which owns WhatsApp and Instagram both. This feature is only available for Android users at this time, company hasn’t reveled or told when it will be available on iOS devices.
WhatsApp has also tweeted to announce this feature which says – For your eyes, not your ears. You can now mute the audio on your videos before adding them to your Status or sending in chat. Now available on Android.
To use this feature, you need to be on latest Beta version or latest stable version, once you download latest beta or update yourself to latest stable version, you have to select any video which you want to send to your friend, or want to add to your status, then you will see a volume icon at the top left corner, tap on it to mute video.
This feature will be helpful when you want to send a video to your friend without any background audio disturbance.
