Build And Design Of Swipe Elite Note :-
Design and build quality of Swipe Elite is the strong point of this device, this device do feels bulky in hand as it weighs 194G which makes it hard to operate it from one hand, but thanks to its back panel which has got soft sandpaper like finish which makes your grip more powerful and better to the device.
The company has added magnesium alloy frame which makes this device more premium and easy to hold as it gives the metallic look.
When it comes to the connectivvity and ports then on the right side you will find your ower and sleep button along with your volume rockers, all are th plastic buttons but will give yoou decent amount of feeback.
There is nothing at the bottom or on the left side of the device.
Top of this device is little bit conjusted, you will find your Micro USB port, 3.5mm Audio jack and you will also find your IR blaster, its good to have an IR blaster at this price tag.
At rear you have your back panel which has got soft sandpaper finish, there is a 13MP rear snapper with LED flash, there is a mettalic ring which protects it from any scratches which can appear when you put it on table.
There is a spaerker grill as well at the rear which produces nice output but as it is placed at the rear, then audio might get muffeled when you placed it on a flat surface.
The back panel of this device back be removed and once you remove back panel, you will get access to the 3000mAh battery, two SIM slots, and a Micro SD card slot.
At the front you will find a 5.5 inch HD display screen which looks good enough for the price, just above your display you will have a 5MP front facing the camera with nice mettalic earpiece and some sensors.
Just below your display you have your three touch capacitive buttons which like most of other devices in this price bracket, do not support backlit.
The overall build quality is solid and seems nice, although this device feels little bulky but its design does looks premium.
Hardware And Specs Of Swipe Elite Note :-
Under the hood, Swipe Elite Note is powered by MediaTek 1.3Ghz quad core processor along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage and Mali-T720 GPU, on paper hardware specs seems pretty impressive.
It houses a 3,000mAh battery. For connectivity, it supports dual SIM, Micro USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and IR blaster.
Display of Swipe Elite Note :-
Swip Elite Note comes with 5.5 inch HD IPSdisplay screen which is protected by Dragontrail glass, this device has got 2.5D curved glass which makes it easy to use and easy to swipe, this display is good enough in terms of brightness when you are in indoor conditions, as soon as you move outdoor, visibility starts to decrease, however you still will be able to use it but we wish brightness levels could have been better.
Software and UI of Swipe Elite Note :-
Swipe Elite Note runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop which is wrapped under company’s own Freedom OS, company says it is one of the talking point of this device but in our review we find that this Freedom OS put lots of load on the device, almost every time there are lots of apps running in the background.
Even though it has good processor along with 3GB of RAM, but still we faced lots of app crashes and lags while using this device. This device is capable of handling heavy games like Asphalt 8 and others but we played this game for only 20 minutes or so, device started heating and game was crashed.
Most of the time this device cry for free RAM which should not be a case if you have 3Gigs of RAM but here it does cry which clearly indicates poor RAM management.
There are lots of bloatwares which company has included in it, some of you might find them useful and some wont. It do supports gestures controls, you can swipe from bottom, left or right to bring up your toolbox which allow access to some tools, recent apps and much more.
Camera Of Swipe Elite Note :-
On paper, Swipe Elite Note comes with 13MP rear snapper but when we started using, it doesn’t seems to perform like a 13MP snapper. Shutter speed is fast but its autofocus does takes some time to adjust.
It do takes some nice images in daylight with good amount of details, but color reproduction is not that much greate which you can expect from a 13MP shooter, color reproduction is little bit on the down side.
You can check some sample images below :-
Performance Of Swipe Elite Note :-
If you are not a heavy user then you will find this device performing well for you, it can handle your day to day tasks, FreedomOS learns from your behaviour and whenever you unlock it, it will suggest your frequently used apps.
The gaming performance is also acceptable and you can play HD games on it and we didnt find any major lag or frame drop, however heating is he main issue with this device, while playing heavy games on high setting I got warning many times to shut down games as battery tempreture has rises above acceptable limits.
Final Verdict On Swipe Elite Note :-
Build quality of Swipe Elite Note is surely its plus point, altough it feels heavy but feel solid at the same time, performance is just okay, but we think it is mostly due to the heavy apps and overloaded UI and company can fix it by pushing some updates as specs of this device are nice.
