As expected today Korean company, Sony has launched its flagship device, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium in India at an event held in New Delhi, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium in IFA Berlin was company has originally launched earlier this year and today it is launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 62,500 and it will be available from next month, 7th November, just before the Diwali season.
The USP of this smartphone is its that its the world’s first 4K display smartphone, it flaunts an 5.5 inch IPS Triluminos Display with screen resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, which results into a pixel density of a whopping 806ppi. Another cool thing which company has done here is that fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power/sleep buttons which makes its easy to access.
Under the hood it Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz along with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM, it also includes 32GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 200GB using a microSD card.
When it comes to photography front, Xperia Z5 Premium features an 23-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS image sensor, pulse LED flash, hybrid auto focus which focus in just 0.03 seconds, can record videos is 4K and SteadyShot video stabilization, for selfie lovers there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 25mm wide-angle lens, with 1080p video recording capabilities and SteadyShot video stabilization.
For connectivity it includes dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi MIMO, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/AGPS, it houses an 3,430mAh battery which can survive up to two days and it also comes with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
Being water and dust resistance is Xperia series main feature, and so this phone also comes with IP65 and IP68 certification which makes it water and dust resistant, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
