Last month Samsung has launched its Mega 2 in selected Asian markets like Malaysia and Thailand, now it seems very soon this phablet will enter into Indian market as well. Recently Mahesh Telecom, an entrusted retailer has taken Facebook page to give message that this device will be available in India very soon with price tag of Rs. 21,499 where its MRP will be Rs. 24,300/-
If we talk about specs then Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 comes flaunts a 6-inch TFT HD 720p display screen, screen resolution is bit low considering such a big display screen, under the hood it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 1.5GB of RAM and has internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card.
At back this phablet features an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, for connectivity it has LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS, Glonass, NFC, and Bluetooth, and as per software is concern it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of box.
In terms of size, phablet has dimensions of 163.6×84.9×8.6 mm, and houses a 2800mAh battery, there is no word on its talk time and stand by time. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is listed in Cosmic Black and Blizzard White colors.
In Malaysia Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has been priced MYR 1,299 (around Rs. 24,500) for single SIM variant, considering last year launch and Samsung policy we expect a dual SIM variant in India anytime soon.
