Today Samsung has launched its slimmest smartphone, the Galaxy A8 in India, which was announced last month in China, and this launch makes India as second country to get this smartphone. As told earlier, Galaxy A8 is the slimmest smartphone from the company and it is just 5.9mm thin. Samsung has launched this smartphone at the price tag of Rs. 32,500. Company has also partnered with Airtel, and users will get double data plan for next six months, which means you will get double the data of your current data plan.
When it comes to design of this phone then you will find that Samsung has made some big changes in it, and its way much different than exiting A series devices and its more like its flagship device. The main USP of this phone is its thin profile, it also comes with almost a bezel less display screen which do looks nice, company has also provided fingerprint scanner on this phone which is integrated into its home button.
When it comes to photography, Samsung Galaxy A8 features an 5.7-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display screen, under the hood it is powered by company’s own Exynos 5430 octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM, and has got 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via an microSD card (Samsung Galaxy A8 has a hybrid slot, which means you can either second SIM card or a microSD card on one slot).
When it comes to photography, the Samsung Galaxy A8 features an 16MP autofocus f/1.9 rear camera along with LED flash, and there is also an 5MP front facing camera with a 120 degrees wide-angle lens for selfie lovers, it houses an 3,050mAh battery which can las for 304 hours on standby mode. For connectivity it has options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and Bluetooth 4.1, and when it comes to software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop wrapped under company;s own TouchWIz UI out-of-the-box.
