Last year when OnePlus has announced that within the period of 90 days company will launch Android Lollipop update for its OnePlus One device, however that 90-days period was over last month and OnePlus One users are still waiting for update to rolled out, the only thing which OnePlus users got is alpha version of OxygenOS. Now OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has annoucned that both the Indian and global variants will be getting the Lollipop update in March.
Carl Pei or company hasnt gave any reason why company has missed that dead line, but this delay is most likely due to controversy between OnePlus and Cyanogen Inc as Cyanogen has partnered with Micromax and gave exclusive right to them to sell CyanogenMod powered devices in India.
@rajarshi_10 We released an L alpha a while ago, but a more stable build (OxygenOS & CM12S) will need to wait until March. Sorry for delay!

And this was one of the major reason OnePlus has planned to go for its own OS, the OxygenOS, though company has missed that deadline, company did annoucned alpha variant and announced OxygenOS team last week.
In tweet Pei also reveals that company will also launch CM12S also but there are very less chance that company will launch CM12S for Indian users as well, however global users do get an option to download and install either CM12S or OxygenOS.
