Finally all leaks and rumors can take a rest as Samsung has finally announced its flagship smartphone at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2016 aka MWC in Barcelona, the Samsung Galaxy S7 which is in line of all leaks and rumors which we had seen earlier. Company has said they will launch this device sometime in March in many countries with pre-order will kick off in next few days at selected countries.
When it comes to design, Samsung has introduced new design language last year after getting criticised for its plastic design and they had used metal and glass on Samsung Galaxy S6, and same is the case with Galaxy S7, however when you take a closer look you will find that Galaxy S7 is more curvier than its predecessor.
However most of the design is same, but now camera bump is not as noticeble as before, home button at the front is same with finger print scanner, and there is heart rate sensor along with camera at rear.
Wen it comes to specs, Samsung Galaxy S6 flaunts a 5.1-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, and depending upon the market, you will either get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset or Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset, both processors will be paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, it will be available in 32GB or 64GB variant, and after getting critized last year, this year company has introduced MicroSD card slot, now Samsung Galaxy S7 will have hybrid SIM tray, which means you can either insert two SIMs or one SIM and a Micro SD card.
When it comes to photographic front, Samsung Galaxy S7 will have 12MP rear snapper, most of you might think its down from 16MP which we had seen on Galaxy S6, but company has made some changes under the hood, like it has f/1.7 aperture and 1.4um pixel sensor which ensure you will get good images in low lights, there is optical image stabilization (OIS) and 100 percent PDAF. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel f/1.7 selfie camera.
For connectivity, it has got dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and micro-USB port. It houses 3,000mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support, it has also got IP68 certification, which makes it resistant to water and dust.
When it comes to software scenerio, Samsung Galaxy S7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under companies own TouchWiz UI, it features an Always On display which is like LG G5 which shows your notification on your lock screen without having to wake up the device.
Company has also added game launcher which ensure you will get smooth game performance on the device, it also features a gaming-specific buttons which allows you to easily capture screenshots or record gaming sessions.
