Microsoft has added a new smartphone into its portfolio by launching Lumia 638 which is the cheapest LTE enabled device from the company in India. Nokia Lumia 638 will be exclusively available on Microsoft’s store on Amazon India and its available in two color variants, Whhite and Black variants. This smartphone is due by tomorrow but its pre-booking will start from today and company is promising delivery in 2 – 4 business days from release day.
If we talk about specs then Microsoft Lumia 638 flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA Clearback LCD display screen with screen resolution of 854×480 pixels which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, under the hood it is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
As per photography front it features a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with no LED flash and no front-facing camera, it houses a 1,830mAh battery, for connectivity it has LTE and support bands 3, 7, 38, 39, 40, and 41, other connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and Micro USB, as per software front, it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan.
As an introductory offer, Microsoft in partnership with Airtel providing up to 5GB of free LTE data for a period of two months for Airtel postpaid users in Bengaluru, this offer is applicable until March 31, 2015.
At launch, Raghuvesh Sarup, Director – Marketing, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy), said :-
