Tomorrow Google will be announcing its latest flagship smartphone under its Pixel series, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in an event which is scheduled for tomorrow. In recent times we have seen numerous leaks which states what these two devices might have and how they might look like. Now popular leakster Evan Blass posted press render images of these devices and what they might come with.
As per the latest news, Google will announce Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 which will be manufactured by HTC and LG, respectively — and codenamed Walleye and Taimen and will come with the latest stock version of Android v8 Oreo.
What seems more interesting and nice is that both devices will come with front-facing stereo speakers. Google Pixel 2 XL will have QHD+ display, an 18:9 tall display, similar to what we have seen on LG V30. It completely bezel-less display, however, it still falls under, true edge-to-edge device. However, Pixel 2 isn’t bezel-less display device and doesn’t fit line with its bigger brother.
However, Pixel 2 isn’t bezel-less display device and doesn’t fit line with its bigger brother and those big bezels along with speakers look a bit awful.
A new noticeable change in terms of software is now you will find Google Search bar at the bottom of the dock and just above the navigational buttons. Both devices will lack 3.5 mm audio jack which is a big change from last year’s device.
Earlier there was news that Google Pixel 2 devices will be powered by Snapdragon 836 but now it seems just like any other flagship device of this year, Pixel 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 along with 4GB of RAM and will be available 64 or 128GB storage variant with no support for Micro SD card.
The camera is something which no one is sure at this time, we are expecting it to be same of 12MP on both devices, however last time OIS was missing on the devices and this time it can make its way to both devices.
When it comes to availability of devices, then Pixel 2 could be available from October 19th and Pixel 2 XL would take an extra month, around November 15th to hit the market.
