There were several rumors that Microsoft could launch Windows 8 RT devices for $199, to compete with Google’s Nexus 7 or could be with iPad Mini too.
But in an interview David Schmoock, head of Lenovo’s North America operations with Bloomberg told that Windows 8 RT based devices might cost $200-$300, less than competing Windows 8 devices. Windows 8 RT is specially build for device based on ARM Chipset architecture from companies like Qualcomm and NVidia.
On the other hand, proper Windows 8 tablets which can install Windows software’s might cost around $600-$700, Windows Pro will run on X86 architecture platform from companies like Intel and AMD.
