Last month HTC has announced its cylindrical camera, the HTC Re in India which was originally announced in New York. At the time of India launch, HTC has priced this device at Rs. 9,990 and said it will be available exclusively on Snapdeal only, now its available but its not like you open Snapdeal website and purchase it, first you have to register for it and then on batch you will get a chance to purchase it.
If we talk about specs then it has got a 6-megapixel snapper with a 146 degree wide angle CMOS sensor, it can shot full HD videos, you will be able to capture photos by just pressing the trigger button once, or if you want to record video then just press the button for slightly longer. RE can also shoot slow motion videos at 120 frames per second and time-lapse videos can be recorded as well..
RE camera houses a 820mAh battery to which HTC claims can survive clicking 1,200 photos or one hour 40 minutes of continuous video recording in full HD resolution. Soon HTC is going to release an app which will be compatible with Android and iOS devices and will allow users to share photos and videos right from RE camera to your device via Wi-Fi. It has also got IP57 which means its water resistance.
HTC RE is taken as the rival of GoPro and it mark the entry of HTC into camera market as well. At first look it looks like a inhaler and it can survive outdoor conditions as well.
