Windows 8 comes with lots of enhancements and new features like Start Screen, Metro UI and lot more. Microsoft has tried to implement Metro UI in every section of Windows 8. Even when you boot your Windows 8 you will find new Metro UI boot menu.
If you are using Windows 8 in dual boot with Windows 7 and any other then you might see that on dual boot menu you will first see Windows 8 Boot Screen and then screen from where you can select your OS to boot.
Another problem is that if you want to boot in safe menu and press F8 while booting then it might not work for you as by default this option is not enabled.
So to solve this problem we can switch back to classic boot menu and for this open command prompt as Administrator and type following command :-
bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy
This will enable your classic boot menu, just reboot your computer to see the changes, if in future you want to switch back to Windows 8 modern Metro boot menu then type following command :-
bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy standard
