Couple of days back Chinese vendor, Gionee has announced its slimmest smartphone, the Gionee Elife S5.1 in India which was originally announced in China around a month back. Gionee Elife S5.1 is priced Rs. 18999. When Gionee has announced Elife S5.1, it was the slimmest phone in the world with just 5.1mm thin body but soon this crown was taken away by Oppo R5 which has 4.85mm.
If we talk about specs then Gionee Elife S5.1 features a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display screen with screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels, under the hood it is powered by a Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM and it includes a 16GB internal storage.
As per photography front Gionee Elife S5.1 features an 8 megapixel rear camera along with LED flash and has 5-megapixel front facing camera as well, it houses a 2,100mAh battery. As per software front, it runs Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) wrapped under Gionee’s Amigo 2.0 UI.
At this price tag and specs it will compete with HTC Desire 816G, Motorola Moto G (2014), Huawei Honor 6, and the Lenovo Vibe X2.
