Last year Xiaomi has entered Indian market and without opening a single store they were able to sell lacs of devices in Indian market, all this is done with the help of Flipkart which was the exclusive partner for Xiaomi, yes Flipkart was the exclusive partner for Xiaomi as today, in a surprise move, Xiaomi has announced that they have joined hands with other two big online retailers, the Snapdeal and Amazon India to sell its devices.
In past couple of months we have seen Xiaomi is increasing its retail partners, as first they sold Redmi Note 4G in selected Airtel offline stores, then they announced that Xiaomi will sell some accessories on mi.com/in website and they have also partnered with The Mobile Store to sell its smartphones in select stores.
In past company has also joined hands with Overcart and some others to sell unboxed and refurbished Xiaomi smartphones in India.
As today Xiaomi has joined hands with Snapdeal and Amazon India, it will be interesting to see how company will work on its popular flash sale model with which company has entered Indian market and it turned to be a good success for the company, we would love to see whether company will host flash sale across all three eRetailers or they will ditch their flash sale model.
