recently Google has made some changes to its web browser and introduced redesigned new tab in which you will see Google Search along with some thumbnails of most visited pages.
If you have habit of entering search terms in Google Chrome’s address which is better known as omnibar then this new redesigned tab is just taking some of your space.
You can disable it and return to old New tab and best part is that its without installing any extension.
- Launch Chrome and in address bar type chrome://flags
- On flags page you will see lots of options just search for Enable Instant Extended API,
- Once you find it just disable it from drop down menu and restart your chrome
- That’s it, enjoy your old chrome new tab.
his will probably be removed pretty soon. If you want a long term solution, you should install a new tab replacement extension like StartHQ: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/starthq/ilcpdgfepihaomggobhmfiimflngbcoh
Hey Oleg,
