Blackberry upcoming Android smartphone, the Blackberry Priv is one of most worst kept secret smartphone of the year, company is expected to launch it by the end of this year, it will be the first Android phone from the company. Earlier we had seen several leaks and rumors which had confirmed the specs and features of this phone, even last week Blackberry CEO John Chen has also confirmed that company is working on Android smartphone.
Today, John Chen has gave hands on impression with the device, at Speaking to BNN’s Amber Kanwar, John Chen showed BlackBerry Priv, its home screen has the mixture of Google and BlackBerry apps, it runs on Android Lollipop right out of the box. While showing device, Chen had some issue while opening device which could mean that it was the demo unit and not the final version.
BlackBerry Priv also features much talked sliding QWERTY keyboard which do support capacitive touch scrolling, just like we had seen on BlackBerry Passport (Review), which comes very handy while surfing web pages.
As of now what we know is that BlackBerry Priv might have a 5.5-inch QHD display, under the hoot it will be powered by a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset along with 3GB of RAM, will have 18-megapixel rear snapper with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing selfie snapper.
