After lots of waiting and delay, finally Asus has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Asus 6Z, yes it is the same Zenfone 6 which was launched in International market but due to Delhi High court ordered Taiwan based company not to use Zen or Zenfone in its branding. Company has launched this smartphone last month to give the competition to OnePlus 7 Pro. And as going with trend, Asus 6Z is the first smartphone from company which comes without any notch and features a pop-up camera.
The Asus 6Z starts at Rs. 31,999 for the base variant of 6GB/64GB while the 6GB/128GB variant is priced at Rs. 34,999 and the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs. 39,999, and it will be available on Flipkart, and first sale will be on 26th June at 12 Noon.
The main highlight of this smartphone is its camera, instead of going with pop-up camera, Asus has implemented a new mechanism to which they are calling as a ‘Flip Camera’.
At the rear of it, you will find a dual camera setup, a 48MP primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a 125-degree ultra-wide angle lens, laser-assisted autofocus, and a Dual LED flash unit.
The interesting part is that there is no front facing camera and instead, this rear camera flips and will work as front facing camera, means you will get a 48MP front facing camera as well.
Asus Zenfone 6 fluants a 6.4-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, almost bezel-less design and Gorilla Glass 6, the back is also made up of glass and you will find Coring Gorilla Glass 3 protection there.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, and it comes in three variants which differ in terms of RAM and storage, it is available in three variants, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, 6GB RAM 128GB storage and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There is a dedicated memory slot with which you can increase memory up to 1TB.
When it comes to the connectivity, it supports LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio socket, USB Type-C, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, it houses a 5000 mAh battery which can easily last a day.
There is an extra button on the right to which company is calling as smart key and user can customize it according to his/her needs. Company has also added two dual 5-magnet stereo speakers along with a Dual NxP smart amps.
When it comes to the software front, Asus Zenfone 6 runs on Androud v9 Pie base on ZenUI 6. It also supports Android Q beta which it will get in coming days.
