Yesterday night when Apple has launched its iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2, they also announced latest generation iMac which comes with Retina display screen, this new 27inch iMac comes with astonishing 5120 x 2880 pixels, Apple said that this is the world’s highest screen resolution display.
In last version of iMac we had seen 2560 x 1440 pixel screen resolution on same 27inch screen, but here Apple has managed to introduce 5K resolution in same screen size and has maintained its 5mm thin body. Apple has also said that iMac comes with 14.7-million pixels and has 67 percent more pixels than a 4K display of this size. Apple also claims that this new iMac consume 30 percent less power.
Apart from this, new iMac is powered by Intel’s fourth generation quad-core i5 processor clocked at 3.5GHz along with with AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics card, with an option to upgrade to a 4GHz i7 processor.
It has 8GB of memory, and Apple’s high capacity 1TB fusion drives which makes things more smooth. To transfer data at more faster rate it has got Thunderbolt 2 I/O port and as per software it runs on OS X Yosemite right out of the box. iMac price start from $2499/- In India its price starts at Rs 179,900 and will be available from coming weeks.
