Finally after months of rumors and leaks, couple of hours ago Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus has launched its flagship smartphones of the year, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro which are the update for last year launched OnePlus 7 series. Almost all specs and features of these smartphones has been leaked way before their official launch, and all specs and features are in line with the leaks which we had seen earlier. These two smartphones comes with higher refresh rate, WiFi 6 support, UFS 3.0 storage, improved camera setup and much more.
OnePlus 8 Specifications –
OnePlus 8 flaunts an 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED FHD+ display with 20:9 aspect ratio which supports HDR 10+, and it is protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 6. This display also comes with support for sRGB, and Display P3 color profiles with 90Hz refresh rate display.
Under the hood it is powered by, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, paired with Adreno 650 GPU, and comes in two variants of 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 12GB RAM+256GB storage.
When it comes to photographic front, there is a triple camera setup at the back which includes 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 0.8 μm pixel size and supports both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), then it has a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor which has f/2.2 aperture and 116-degree field of view., and the last one is a 2-megapixel macro sensor with 1.75 microns pixel size and f/2.4 aperture. There is a dual-LED flash setup as well.
This camera can record 4K videos at 30 or 60fps, and FHD videos at 30/60/240fps. At the front, you have a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.45 aperture and EIS.
For connectivity, it supports 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. It houses a 4,300mAh battery and comes with a support of 30W fast charging, it also has a Fingerprint (under display, optical). It also comes with dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and also support noise cancellation.
When it comes to software front, it Android 10 wrapped under companies own OxygenOS on top.

OnePlus 8 And OnePlus 8 Pro Pricing –
Both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro comes in two variants of 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The OnePlus 8 base variant is priced is set at $699 (around Rs 53,000) while higher variant is priced $799 (around Rs 60,500). One the other hand, OnePlus 8 Pro is priced $899 (around Rs 68,00) for base model, while higher variant is priced at $999 (around Rs 76,000).
The devices will go on sale starting April 19. OnePlus is yet to reveal the prices for Indian market and it seems prices will be much lower than what it seems right now when you convert US price to Indian.
