Sony is still trying to get back some market share which it has lost in the last couple of years, all thanks to companies pricing policies which resulted in dipping companies market share and position as well. Six months back, Sony has announced their flagship smartphone, the Sony X Performance, and now at IFA Berlin, Sony has announced a new flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia XZ.

When it comes to the specs, Sony Xperia XZ flaunts a 5.2 inches FHD display screen, under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expandable further via microSD card.

Photographic front is the department which has been upgradble, it has got 23MP 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor with f/2.0 with laser autofocus which is supported by on-sensor phase-detection autofocus, which result in fast autofocus, it has got 5-axis stabilization which should result in better low light images, there is an 13 megapixels with wider 22mm f/2.0 lens and now supports 1080p video recording

For connectivity, it supports WIFi, Bluetooth, LTE, and GPS, it is the first smartphone from company which comes with USB Type-C and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, it houses a 2900 mAh battery, just like its predecessor, Xperia XZ do comes with fingerprint scanner placed on the home button, and here too you have a dedicated camera shutter button.

This device is both dust and water resistant with IP68 rating, for software front it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under Xperia UI. Sony Xperia XZ will be available from October in dual as well as single-SIM variant in Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum color options. Company hasnt announced anything about pricing yet.
