Motorola’s Moto G series was the most successful series for the company, things were pretty sweet till Lenovo hasn’t made entry, since the Motorola’s acquisition by Lenovo. Lenovo has made Moto G quite confusing by launching two devices, Motorola Moto G and Moto G Plus, now it seems we have another device which is going to join the league. Lenovo is all set to launch a budget smartphone, the Moto G Play in India.
Moto G Play will be launched on 6 September and it will be Amazon Exclusive. Last time we heard about Moto G Plus was when it was being imported for testing purpose in India, it will be a budget smartphone which might be price around Rs. 8k-9k.
When it comes to specs, what we know as of now is that it will have a 5 inch HD display (720×1280 pixels) with a pixel density of 294 ppi, under the hood it is powered by Quad-core 1.4 GHz, Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 Processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expandable.
When it comes to the photographic front, it features a 8 MP primary camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture, at front it has got a 5MP front facing camera as well, it houses a 2800 mAh Li-Ion Battery, and for connectivity, it supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and Micro USB.
It will run on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) and can be further upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat, just like Moto G or Moto G Plus there’s no dust or water resistance here, however, you do have P2i nano-coating to prevent damage from water splashes.
