After updating Asus Zenfone 2, Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Max, Asus has started rolling out the update for its left over second generation devices, and the latest one to join the league is the selfie-oriented smartphone, the Asus Zenfone Selfie (Review) which was launched last year at ZenFestival. Like any other update, this update is in rollout phase as well and it may take a week to reach your device.
Just like update for any other device, company has removed Omlet, Data Transfer, Photo Frame, ASUS Backup, Dr. Safety, What’s Next, Party Link, Remote Link, PC Link, Yahoo Shopping, EZ Ding, TripAdvisor, Zinio, iReader, Dr.Eye, Google+, Puffin Browser, Mirror, ASUS Email, ASUS Calendar, and ASUS Messaging from here as well.
If you want them back then you can always install these apps from Play Store although Google Calendar, Google Messenger, and Dr. Booster. still comes pre-install and Asus Email, Asus Calendar, and Asus Messaging have also been removed.
The update does not support APP2SD, so it is recommended that you move all your apps to internal storage before updating.
As told earlier, this update is in rollout phase, and it will reach you shortly, if you haven’t received update notification then you can check it from Setting->About->System Update.
