We all know Xiaomi is going to launch its much-awaited flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5 in China and in MWC on 24, but before this launch event, we have fair idea what this device will have and what we are going to see in this device, all thanks to several leaks and news which we had got as of now. To add more heat, now we have another leak with us which tells us almost everything about the device and leave very little for our imagination.
TimeNews has posted the presentation slide which seems to be made for 24 February launch event, while most of the details mentioned in this presentation are in line with earlier leaks, but biggest thing to note here is the presence of 26MP rear with a f/1.6 aperture, which means better photos in low lighting conditions, there will be PDAF support for faster auto focus as well as dual-LED flash, we had already seen camera sample’s from Xiaomi President.
As of now what we know about Xiaomi Mi 5 from several leaks, smartphone will come in two variants, one will have metal frame with glass at front and back of the device with 5.2-inch full HD. Other will be more premium variant which will have 5.2inch QHD (1440x2560pixels) display and it will have full metal body which will provide more premium look to the smartphone. Its also said that Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a physical home button with the smallest and fastest fingerprint scanner on it.
Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC along with Adreno 530 GPU, the glass variant is supposed to have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage while metal variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB on-board storage, as of now there is no word on whether it will support microSD card slot or not.
It is also expected to feature a 3,600mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, IR Blaster, fingerprint scanner, connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, and NFC, and company might also unveal a Windows Phone 10 variant of the same.
The only thing which left unknown is the price and availability of this smartphone, and for this we dont have to wait long as on 24th company will officially announce this smartphone.
