As expected, Today at an event Xiaomi has launched its latest phablet, the Xiaomi Redmi Note in India at Rs. 8,999, it is priced Rs. 1,000 low as compared with the price at which is was announced four month back in India. As reported earlier it will go on sale on December 2 exclusively only on Flipkart and its pre-order will start from tomorrow 6:00 PM. Xiaomi has said that they had sold over 10 million Redmi Note handsets globally.
If we talk about specs then Xiaomi Redmi Note flaunts a 5.5 inch IPS-LCD display screen with screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels, means will have pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood it will be powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 SoC along with Mali-450MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM, it will have internal storage of 8 Gb which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
At back Xiaomi Redmi Note features a 13 megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, along with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity Xiaomi Redmi Note include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS. It houses a 3,100 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi Note too runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped under MIUI V5 UI. Xiaomi is also going to launch 4G/LTE variant of Redmi Note in India next month.
