Today HTC has announced a new member in its HTC Desire series, the HTC Desire 816G, basically its somewhat a stripped down version of original Desire 816 which was announced six months ago.
If we talk about specs then you will find that only difference in original Desire 816 and Desire 816G are in processor and RAM only, Original Desire 816 was powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz whereas Desire 816G is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor ticking at 1.3GHz and if we talk about RAM which is stripped to 1GB from 1.5GB seen in original Desire 816.
While the rest of the specs are same, you will get same 5.5-inch 720p display screen, it comes with 8GB internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card, at back you will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfi, and it houses a 2,600mAh battery.
For connectivity it has dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS/AGPS, and as per software is concern it runs on Android’s 4.4.2 KitKat version out-of-the-box, running HTC Sense UI on top of it.
Original Desire 816 was launched at the price tag of Rs 24,999, this new Desire 816G is priced Rs 18,990.
