Today Google has unveiled its Android One smartphone in India, Android One program was announced back in Google I/O this year, under this program Google has promised to make its Android smartphone available to all users in emerging markets like India.

Google has partnered with three Indian mobile vendors, Karbonn, Micromax and Spice and launched Karbonn Sparkle V, Micromax Canvas A1 and Spice Dream Uno Mi-498, all phones comes with similar decent specs at the price tag of around Rs. 6,400/-

Just to recap specs, Android One smartphone has 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS touch display screen with screen resolution of 854×480 pixels, powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
At back has 5MP camera with LED flash and has 2MP front facing camera, it houses 1700 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, Google has promised Anroid L update for all these Android One smartphone’s.

More Android One Partner And More Market
Apart from this launch Google has announced that they will be joining hands with new partners like HTC, Lava, Xolo, Intex, Asus, Alcatel Onetouch, Lenovo, and Panasonic who will provide smartphones under or above Rs. 6,000/-, at this time company is provind MediaTek SoC but today Google has also announced partnership with Qualcomm.

In coming months Google wants to reach more and more users and soon they will be launching Android Phone in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Philippines, and Sri Lanka.
Offline YouTube Mode In India
Today Google has announced that they will bring offline mode to YouTube in India in coming days, Google hasnt provided any time frame for this, instead just said YouTube offline mode will be available soon.

By this offline mode users will be able to download YouTube videos and watch them when they have no internet connectivity.
Partnership With AirTel
Google has partnered with India’s leading telecom company AirTel in which AirTel will provide free 200 MB of data for Android One users for 6 months to download Android Apps or software updates.
Google Chrome For Android One
Today Google has announced that Google Chrome on Android One smartphone’s will use data compression technology in which it compresses data to save your bandwidth, it achive this via sending webpages through Google server which then sends compress copy of webpage to your phone, this type of technology is already used by Opera Mini browser.

Google also announced Safe Browsing System for Chrome, in which it automatically detects malicious website and warns you, it also protects you from phishing and malware websites.
