Apart from announcing its Android smartphone, Nokia has announced two new Asha phones Nokia Asha 220 and Nokia Asha 230 which will be the cheapest touch screen phone.

Nokia 220 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and supports expandable memory up to 32GB microSD card and for connectivity front phone include Micro-USB and Bluetooth. It houses a 1100mAh battery which can provide up to 15 hours of talktime and up to 24 days of standby time. The Nokia 220 comes in five colour variants: Black, Cyan, Red, White and Yellow.

On the other hand Nokia Asha 230 sports a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen with 240×320 pixels resolution, it runs on Asha platform and comes preloaded with apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Line, WeChat, HERE Maps, Nokia’s Xpress browser, MixRadio and Microsoft’s OneDrive.

At back it has an 1.3-megapixel rear camera and supports microSD card slot to expand memory up to 32GB, it houses a battery which Nokia claims can last up to 11 hours of talktime and 33 days on standby mode.

Nokia Asha 220 is priced 29 Euros or Rs. 2500 and will be available selected markets while Nokia Asha 230 has been priced at 45 euros means Rs. 3,900 approximately.
