Last year Samsung has launched two phablets, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8, these brings some high end features to a budget pocket and that’s why they became highly popular upon launch. If you own one of these devices and want to do more on these devices by installing custom ROMs then you first need to install TWRP Recovery on it. Today we will show you how you can install TWRP custom recovery on Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8.

Pre-Requisites :-
- Backup all your data
- ODIN – Download and extract it to some handy location like desktop
- Download TWRP Tar file for Galaxy Mega 6.3 | TWRP Tar file for Galaxy Mega 5.8 – keep in same folder as ODIN is
- Your device must have at least 50% battery
- This guide is for Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 GT-I9152 or the Galaxy Mega 6.3 GT-19200, GT-I9205
How To Install TWRP :-
- Open your ODIN folder an run ODIN3.exe as administrator,
- Now turn off your device and put it in download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power buttons at the same time
- Now plugin your device to your computer via USB cable
- As you connect phone, an Added message will be displayed on ODIN
- Check AP or PDA button in ODIN and then load the TWRP tar file (as per your device select tar file) which we had downloaded earlier
- Click on Start button so that ODIN can start flashing the TWRP recovery on your device
- Once ODIN finish flashing you device you would see a Green PASS message at the top left in ODIN.
- At this time you can safely remove your phone as TWRP Recovery has been successfully flashed on your device
- Now we need to reboot our device to TWRP recovery, for that press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power at the same time
- Once you are in TWRP recovery, tap on Reboot and then tap on System
- At this point TWRP will ask you if you want to fix root access, If you already rooted your device then go for No else slide the blue circle to root your device.
That’s it, now you can flash custom ROMs to your device and do a lot more with it.
