As we had told you Xiaomi has introduced its Redmi 1S smartphonein India, today in an event held in Delhi where Xiaomi has announced that it has furthers slashed price of Redmi 1S and now it will be available at Rs. 5,999 in India, it will follow the same model of pre-registration and then flash sale.

To stand a chance to buy Xiaomi Redmi 1S you have to register yourself so that you can be a part of flash sale which will happen on September 2. Xiaomi has promised that there will be enough units at the time of launch.
Just to recap, Xiaomi Redmi 1s flaunts a 4.7-inchIPS display screen with 720×1280 pixel screen resolution, under the hood its powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz along with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage which can befurther expanded up to 64 GB via a microSD card slot.
At back Xiaomi Redmi 1s features an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera along with 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, it houses a 2,000mAh battery, for connectivity it has 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct and hotspot functionality, Micro-USB, Bluetooth4.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB OTG. As per software front, Xiaomi Redmi 1s runs onAndroid 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped with Xiaomi’s MIUI V5.
This phone is up for competition with Moto E and Zenfone 4. Today Hugo Barra from Xiaomi has announced that soon there will be four exclusive service centers Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
