As expected, Samsung has announced its smartwatch Galaxy Gear, which flaunts a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED panel with which has 320×320 pixels resolution. It also comes with a 1.9-megapixel BSI sensor on its strap which offers auto-focus and can shot videos at 720p.
The Galaxy Gear is powered by 800MHz processor along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. It houses 315mAh non-removable battery which as per the Samsung runs for up to a day.
Once this Galaxy Gear is connected with your smartphone allows you to get notifications about incoming for calls, messages, emails and so on, It also allows you to get a preview of messages so that you can accept it or ignore it.
Samsung Galaxy Gear comes with two microphone and a speaker which allows you to answering calls or make calls. In terms of sensors it has sensors like an accelerometer and gyroscope.
Samsung has partnered with 70 apps like MyFitnessPal, RunKeeper, Evernote, Line, eBay and so on. You will be able to use S Voice, Find My Device, and a pedometer from your Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
It will be available in 6 colors, jet black, mocha gray, wild orange, oatmeal beige, rose gold, and lime green. Samsung hasnt announced its price yet but it will be available fro 25 September.
As of now this smartwatch will work only with Galaxy Note III and Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung will release update for it and then it will work with Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note II.
