Yesterday, Taiwan based company HTC has announced couple of devices in India which includes HTC One M9+ (First Impression) and HTC One E9+, company hasnt announced any price tag or launch date for One E9+ as of now but some of our sources suggest that it will be priced somewhere around Rs. 35K, which means HTC is trying to fill the gap between its mid range devices and flagship devices with One E9+. At launch event we got some time to play with it and after playing with it for some time here is our first impression with device.
Design and Build Quality :-
Here in this device HTC has ditched its metal body and used polycarbonate body but I would say despite using plastic body it do gives a feel of premium device when you hold it in your hand, to add more beauty, HTC has also incorporated diamond cut chamfers on the trim which gives more premium look to the device.
The front of this device is occupied by an 5.5 inch 2K display which 534 ppi pixel density and its been protected by corning glass 4, the toughest glass available at this time in market. Despite of being a phablet it is very light weight device and slim also with only 7.5mm and weighs 149 grams.
Right above camera you will find a 4 UltraPixel camera which gives nice quality images, we did tested camera and you can see sample images below in camera section. HTC has also inluded BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and it really gives great amount of feedback in terms of audio, we played with it in our test and we are really impressed with its quality.
If we talk about connectivity and ports then on right side you will find Volume Rockers followed by your power and sleep buttons, these are plastic buttons and they required extra attention when you press them, but once you start using it, you will get use to of it.
One right side we have a flat which covers your Nano SIM slots along with your microSD card slot which allows you to expand its memory up to 2TB, yes its 2TB.
At top you will find a 3.5 mm audio jack for you, and at bottom you will find a Micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
At back of the device you will find a 20MP rear shooter which is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps, HTC has used rubberized matte finish at the back of the device which allows you to hold device in better way and it wont slip out of your hand in any easy way.
Hardware And Specs Of HTC One E9+ :-
If we talk about under the hood feature of HTC One E9+ then it is powered by octa-core Mediatek MT6795M processor clocked at 2Ghz along with 2GB of RAM and has got PowerVR G6200 GPU, at launch HTC has said that the performance of One E9+ can be comparable with the One M9+ which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
It has got 16GB of internal storage which can be expandable up to 2TB via microSD card, it has got 2800 mAh non-removable battery and for connectivity it has got Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1 A2DP, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, and Micro USB.
Software of HTC One E9+ :-
In terms of software, HTC One E9+ runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under all new companies Sense UI 7 which gives you a lot in terms of customization like you can change color options, apart from all there is a big change which most of the users are waiting from a very long time, the Theme App which allows you to change wallpapers, backgrounds, font, completely change the look of icons, and much more. You can also add or remove touch capacitive buttons which is really a cool features.
Camera of HTC One E9+ :-
HTC One E9+ comes with a 20MP shooter at back with LED flash, the UI of camera is little confusing and you might have to digg yourself a lot to find simple options as well. If we talk about camera quality then it did performed very well in our test, check out below images with we have took in low light conditions.

Final Verdict on HTC One E9+ :-
Defiantly HTC One E9+ do feels a solid device which packs lots of specs and features in it, but I would say its price tag will matter a lot, if company decided to price it somewhere around 35K then it could be a good success for the company but if price goes above that then it will be hard for the company to find buyers for it.
