Today Micromax has launched its much awaited phone, Canvas 4 A210, Micromax Canvas series is known for providing premium quality phone in budget range.
As per specs Micromax hasn’t improved much this phone as compared with its predecessor but Micromax has improved built quality and look.
We had attended Canavs 4 A210 launch event and got our hands on this device. At first look this phone looks quite premium, all thanks to aluminum bezel running all around it.
It gives iPhone looks which makes it more premium, rather than having aluminum bezel around it, this phone is quite lighter. Its front and back is build of plastic.
It has got 5 Inch True HD IPS screen with 720p screen resolution. Screen is very sharp and crisp. At front of phone you will find 3 Android touch sensitive buttons, Home, Menu, and Back just below screen.
In terms of software, it runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of box and it do support OTA updates which company will release in future. It is packed with lots of gesture control and most important one is Blow to Unlock, as we had already told you that Micromax is building new unlock system so here it is. To unlock phone you can blow Air on it or just shake it.
In terms of camera it has 13 MP Auto Focus camera at back with LED flash, it has 5 element lens, just like we had seen in iPhone 5, it can take 99 pictures in a minute. It also offers vertical panorama. We had took some photos in dim light and it produced nice photos. At front it has 5 MP camera for video chatting.
It comes with a feature which can pause video while you look away from screen, similar to SmartPause which we had seen in Samsung Galaxy S IV. You can also pin video to home screen and view video in thumbnail.
Canavs 4 is powered by the same MediaTek ARM Cortex A7 quad-core CPU ticking at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM, same as its predecessor. It comes with 16 GB internal memory, and option to expand it up to 32 GB with microSD card.
It houses 2,000 mAh battery which can survive for two days of normal use on 2G once fully charged. You can swipe finger on the screen to increase/ decrease volume and brightness. If you want to turn speaker on while you are on a call then just flip your phone and you have Speaker on.
This phone comes with touch cover worth Rs. 3000 in box once you purchased it. Micromax will try to compete with Samsung and other brands with this new Canvas 4 because they are giving so much in such price range which no other manufacturer is giving at this time.
