Last month after the launch of Asus ZenFone 2 (Review) company has launched its latest power bank also, the ZenPower 10050mAh. From few month Xiaomi is rulling the power bank segment as they are providing good and cheap power banks, you can get 5000mAh power bank from Xiaomi at Rs. 499 or 10,500mAh at Rs. 999, but in recent time couple of manufacturer has launched their power banks at almost same price range.
Build And Design Of Asus ZenPower 10050mAh :-
Asus ZenPower is one of the light weigh and well design power bank which you can find out therein market, company claims its the size of a credit card and, trust me it is, you can easily hold this power bank in one hand, it just weigh around 215 grams which is less than Xiaomi.
It is build up of aluminium body and in our usage we accidentally dropped our unit (SORRY ASUS for it), and after dropping we thought it might not work or like that but we were wrong it was working fine and we are still using it without any issue.
On top you will find a USB port to connect your cable which lets you charge your device, here we are disappointed as it only has single USB port, as some other power banks like Honor Power Bank comes with dual ports which lets you charge two device at the same time. Apart from this you have LED indicators which lets you know how much battery is left and a button to check remaining battery.
Protections Of Asus ZenPower 10050 mAh :-
Company claims they have incorporated all safety features in this power bank which are essentially hardware and power control/management parameters and with these parameters are in place you are sure that you power bank will not blast or over heat. Here is the list of all protections :-
- Temperature Protection
- Short circuit Protection
- Rest Protection
- Input Over Voltage Protection
- Output Over Voltage Protection
- Input Reverse Direction Protection
- Over Charge/ Over Discharge Protection
- Output Over Current Protection
- Cell PTC Protection
- Adapter Protection
- JEITA Protection (Temperature Proection)
Usage :-
In our test we were able to charge our Honor 6 Plus (Review) two times and Xiaomi Redmi 2 (Review) one time which seems very nice as per our test. As its a huge 10050 mAh battery, so it takes fair amount of time to get charge, in our test it took four hours to get fully charge.
It has an input power of DC 5V 2.0A and output power of DC 5.1V 2.4A, here we noticed that instead of having 2,4A output, it do takes long time to charge devices.
Availability :-
Unlike Xiaomi power band which most of the time use to be out of stock on Flipkart, Asus has promised that users will get plenty of device available online so that they can go and buy it.
Final Words :-
Asus ZenPower is one of the best power bank which you can get at this time, its small, compact, stylish and easy to hold. However we will be more happy if it supports dual charging. It nice to see company has focused more on its safety part and ensured that you are getting a good device.
